In this challenging situation, I have created an additional instrument of contact/friendship and assistance in our club. I have made my mobile phone number available and published it as a hotline for assistance. The assistance includes shopping, accompaniment to the doctor, picking up medication at the pharmacy, household chores, care, telephone calls and empathic meetings / conversations. The service is primarily aimed at older Rotarians, but also at young Rotarian entrepreneurs who are currently plagued by existential concerns. Within two days, 19 Rotarians contacted me and expressed their willingness to participate in this service. So now we have a "Care- Team" of 20 people in the Rotary Club Aarau ; the coordination is up to me - it has been very well received and it works. We have physical strength and a lot of knowledge that is being used - which ultimately creates confidence and trust. Because there is a time after Corona and it starts today!
